Complaint stops here! You are not alone...
In today’s economic environment
we can sometimes feel very alone. We have so few good things happening it seems our troubles and problems
are all we have to on our minds. Overtime we begin to feel like our friends have started to avoid us because
they just don’t want to hear us moaning and groaning about our plight. But is that such a mystery
when they’re suffering the same situations we are? Misery may love company, but there’s a point
when all you’re doing is stagnating - complaining with no action or plan to make change. What are you going to do about it? Try this, get a coach,
someone who actually desires to listen to your plight without taking flight. This someone will assist you
in finding ways to improve your attitude and help you develop and reach new goals. The complaints stop
here. With a coach by your side, you’ve got a partner to a better life. What are
you waiting for?

Shine your light. NOW!
My daughter shared with me a line from a Dave Matthews song “Cry Freedom”: "The future is no place to place your better days." I loved the way it simplistically addresses a problem many
have to focus on the future while not appreciating the opportunities and joys of the present. You shine the spotlight on
the future, while walking in darkness in the present. Tomorrow will indeed be bright, but not to be missed
is the light of THIS day. That light is the one we can use to make that future brighter still. It will
illuminate who we are and what we want to be. Within those few words lay a strong impetus to make any life changes NOW. Have you ever had a great idea? One that you know would save
time, improve a process, or make life easier for parents, children, anyone? Did you act on your vision or did you do
what many of us do, put it off? Did you say to yourself: “I’ll do this in the future. I have too much on
my plate now and I cannot find the time, money, support, (insert whichever excuse here) to do it now. I'll do something
about it later?" Then, did you have the moment
when you see your idea in fruition at a store, online, or on TV and get that feeling of: "I thought of that first!" Why did someone else make happen what you originally designed?
The key difference is that person acted in the NOW. While you were waiting for the better day, in the future, someone else
has arrived at the same idea for improvement and instead of waiting to enact it they do it NOW. All the kudos, success, and "atta girls" go to someone else. And when you
say “I had that idea first,” everyone looks at you in disbelief. Some might laugh. Others say, “Well, why
didn't you do something about it?" Your response? "I was waiting...for the right time...." In conclusion: sucks to be you. But that doesn't have to be the end. Maybe part of the reason you didn't act was fear.
Maybe you didn't have the support you needed to carry out your dream. A coach can offer you the support and encouragement
you need. A coach would listen to you and say: “That’s not a crazy idea; it;'s a great one! With a few tweaks
and a little work, you'll be on your way to making that a reality!”
A support system is invaluable to success. A coach can help you put together an action plan and keep you on track as
you work towards your goal. A coach will help to identify new markets, audiences, and customers for your product or
idea. A coach can give you the confidence you need to take the first step towards NOW. They will cheer you on as you soak
up the brightness of this moment of your life. Stop
putting a place holder in the future for a better day. Act Now. Your future is bright. Your coach is waiting. Atta
girl!

The harsh truth
You aren’t
getting any younger. Sorry to be the one to tell you, but I am nothing if not honest. And you are aging. Do you need a moment?
Go ahead. Take a little time to swallow this bit of truth. I’ll wait. Still swallowing? The reality of time passing can be hard to face, but as you take a minute
to recognize that you are getting older, why not also ask yourself: “Am I doing what I want to be doing with my career,
my family, my life?” If your answer is no, consider why you aren’t facing the facts. Want some more truth? The future is
not guaranteed to you - to any of us. We have now; this moment. What are you doing with the time you have? Are you
postponing your life with “what if's”? Are you frittering away valuable time with “once I lose
weight, get my degree, retire from my job, quit my lousy job, the kids graduate, the house sells,” etc.? GET REAL! Life is a stream of
time made up of moments. How we chose to use each moment makes up our life. Those choices empower us, humble us, encourage
us, scare us and define us. Those moments are the ones we will share with our friends, family, children,
employers, even strangers. Those moments are the ones we will reflect on as we examine our life. Those moments are the ones
that others will tell about us long after we have gone. Each little bit of time was a thread that made up who we are. The reality of this
is sobering but also exciting. If one of the reasons you are stuck at a crossroads in your life is because you are afraid
to take that next step, if you are worried that you will make the wrong decision, then take this moment to make a smart choice:
Get a coach! I know, I know. Why does this woman keep telling me that? Because coaches help you stay on track and keep you from
sweating the small stuff. Your coach will help you appreciate each moment so you have a lifetime of accomplishments, joys,
and successes to cherish. Your coach will help you live your best life by being present for each moment. The truth is, we are all getting older. You can rally against the inevitable or accept reality and embark on a beautiful
process. Someone wise (and probably old) once said that the life we have now is a gift; that’s why they call it the
present. Decide to make each moment a gift and if you need some help unwrapping the paper on your present, give me a call.
I’m here to help.

The Laura Experience
First things first. I can't believe it's been so long since I have
posted on the site! Sorry, friends, for the delay. A lot has been going on for me but I am back to share my latest with you
all.
I
had an interesting moment a couple of months ago. Someone referred to me as being an “experience.” They said, "A lot of people need to have the 'Laura
Experience.'" I believe they were commenting on my innate energy and how I use it to motivate others. Part of being
with me is feeling the charge to do more, to be more.
I have to say, the new title really appealed to
me and offered me some inspiration in regards to my work. So, I have decided to offer all of you
a chance to have the Laura Experience. More than sharing my sense of humor or love of music and fun, I want people to be able
to grow and achieve whatever they want to. The Laura Experience is a way for others to “become”.
Frankly, the becoming process is challenging.
Making this journey alone is tough, treacherous; fraught with confusion and mistakes. At least
with a coach you won’t be alone; you have someone with you to laugh at your jokes (and to tell you when they are
not funny,) someone to share your drama, your trauma; and someone to celebrate your joy.
Don't go it alone. Get a Coach. Oh, and PICK ME, PICK ME!
Then have the “Laura Experience” and become the person you know you are. Spring is a great time to begin
new things. Let's work together so you can start to have the "You Experience."

Olympic Lesson
Weren’t the Olympics amazing? I loved watching them, even though winter isn’t
my favorite season!
This year, as I saw the athletes reaching new heights,
sometimes literally, it occurred to me that each competitor shared one crucial element of success: they all had a coach.
When it comes to sports, music, dance or acting a good coach is invaluable
in achieving the highest level of success. Why? Because at times we need guidance, an outside perspective, encouragement,
motivation or someone to challenge us. A good coach provides all of that for their protégé. It only makes sense
for those who want to be the very best in business to do the same.
No
one, wants to keep sloshing blindly along hoping they are making the right choices. Get a good coach and KNOW that the
steps you’re taking will lead you to your best end result. We all need someone to cheer us on, provide constructive
feedback, and help us identify and expand upon our strengths. A great coach helps you exceed your expectations and reach
your dreams. Together, you can go for the gold. And in the world in which we live, who couldn’t use a little gold?
GET A COACH!
